Couldn't they get both of their anchors on set at least for the Techwood studio debut day? From the screencap this looks like the studio Rosemary was posting about during construction so I guess there's just one set for all of them.

RE: CNN - newsfan22 - 02-03-2024

It appears to be the same studio that Rosemary Church tweeted about. Why will CNNi broadcast from here from April?

That looks small. We sure ain't at CNN Center anymore.....

It looks like a QVC set from a decade ago. A shame as I was really looking to seeing the Techwood sets.

RE: CNN - EastCoast - 02-03-2024

Lots of glossy white panels, which makes all of the different shapes, seams, and shadows really stand out. My head can’t comprehend what shape the bottom left corner of the weather screen surround is supposed to be. Looks like no backlit panels, just video screens and hard elements.

Wonder if this is the new weather presentation point. It is nice to have in-person weather updates.

Here are a few more screencaps of the new Techwood studio.

First of All seems to be from a different set? Or is it just a different desk. Didn't get a very long look at it in the opening pan.

RE: CNN - EastCoast - 02-03-2024

First of All uses the studio differently than CTM. The layout and blocking of this studio feels a lot like Studio D in Washington.

The blue wall wash gives me a lot more hope for how CNN Newsroom will look when they move in.

It also looks like we’ve only seen one corner on-air. The wall behind the weather screen looks a lot deeper than it did earlier.

At first glance I think its the same set, just different position at the desk. The opening shot featured "First of All" on what was used as a weather screen during CTM

The last segment of CTM was done, like previously, solely by Kristen Fisher from NY, to allow Victor to prepare for his show. Although I wonder what will happen when Amara is back and they are both anchoring CTM from Atlanta - will she move to a flash set to allow First of All preparations? Or will they do everything studio-wise (backdrop change etc) in that four-minute break before TOTH?

RE: CNN - ginnyfan - 02-03-2024

It's the same studio, or part of it, hopefully there's more to it. He's just sitting on the side of the desk.
