RE: CNN - sky303 - 03-04-2023

I'm glad they did a good theme for News Central as well, US. Newsroom's themes since they stopped using the original studio 7 look weren't very good. I have a soft spot for the 2010 theme https://youtu.be/HdmcM4trvO4

Still seeing the weekends are called Newsroom still, wonder if Atlanta gets a version of News Central when it moves to the old new building.

No doubt the News Central team are rehearsing. Looks like the Newsroom Special will run until Jake Tapper takes over.

It was great. Could maybe do without the three presenters, but the rest was on point. Bring it back, I say!

International schedule for tomorrow has now updated to show them simulcasting domestic from 5pm UK time with the only domestic opt-out being World Sport at 10:30pm-11pm.

RE: CNN - Newsroom - 03-04-2023

I wish there was some alignment with staffers titles at CNN.

People tend to fire Chyrons Willy nilly.

Kaitlin Collins is either 'Anchor, This Morning & Chief Correspondent, Anchor, or Former Chief White House Correspondant.

It's surely not that difficult?

RE: CNN - Newsroom - 03-04-2023

I have to praise Kaitlan Collins. She really is an almost unique young talent.

She is truly excellent.

RE: CNN - jirka - 03-04-2023

I am excited and almost touched by the music. I didn’t see the broadcast, just the video of the open. The music is based heavily on the original cnn ID and promo music introduced in 1990 to celebrate 10 years of CNN, which was created by Score Productions (Chuck Loeb and Gary Anderson). There was a super long cut used in a promo highlighting the decade of CNN (2 min 30 s, I’m sure its somewhere on YouTube but I couldn’t find it now) and a lot of shorter ones like these:

CNN ID 10 years

CNN promo 15 s

CNN promo 30 s

NewscastStudio's in-depth review of CNN News Central, including some additional pics and an expanded montage:

An additional note: the remixed version of the CNN 1990s theme comes, according to my sources and verified thanks to people over at TVNewsTalk, from the people over at Stephen Arnold Music. They did a great job on updating the theme to the modern era.

RE: CNN - Charles - 04-04-2023

Fantastic theme, and a fantastic set of anchors. Pretty good content too with CNN's own correspondents playing a more dominant role on air rather than the panel shoutfests of the last few years.
