RE: CNN - sky303 - 15-04-2023

I wonder if this will affect if Laura Coates continues to do CNN Tonight, her radio show has moved to mornings

RE: CNN - TMD_24 - 15-04-2023

Don't think Laura Coates has presented CNN Tonight as regularly as before, most of the time it's been Alisyn Camerota doing it for the last couple of weeks.

One thing I have noticed is when CNN announced the revamped schedule is that Alisyn was going to do the 10pm hour of CNN Tonight whilst Laura Coates was going to do the 11pn hour. So far these changes haven't happend so far with Alisyn doing both hours. They have revamped the 11pm hour recently though with the coffee table and reporters joining the panel to discuss the reporting so I wonder if this 11pm format is either intended to be Laura's new hour in the future with that format or due to recent changes at SirxusFM means that Laura will no longer do it. I don't think she is giving up that slot by the looks of it as the press release mentioned above mentioned that she will continue CNN Tonight presenting duties. Just makes me wonder what's all the delay about then if CNN is going to implement the changes they originally planned.

Surpassing the elders like never before.

It's OK, no offence taken Smile

Back to the studio stuff, and Anderson Cooper used newly popularized 21V to deliver the opening remarks for The Whole Story.

As for tomorrow's DC premiere, I wonder if Studio A has been out of use not for a big refurbishment, but for News Central rehearsals.
It is, however, less video-wall heavy than 19Z (and some parts of it look a bit forgotten).
One also might suggest election-style usage of both A and B, however the resulting space might be too big for only 3 anchors.

RE: CNN - TMD_24 - 17-04-2023

CNN News Central from Washington has just started. Coming from Washington Studio A/B with with the same style intro but with Washington scenes in the intro. They have definitely updated a lot of the flooring between the studios.

Yes, they are using both parts of the big set.

Brianna at the wall connecting A and B:

Jim at the curved TSR videowall, smaller screen is seen on the left (though they'd change that to a bigger one). "CNN Washigton" seems to be taken down.

Boris in the B part of the set.

Like in NY, anchors move around the set, as Brianna is now at the curved screen.

RE: CNN - EastCoast - 17-04-2023

Not really seeing anything that’s been updated. The only physical change seems to be removing “CNN WASHINGTON” from above the curved video wall.

Not much to say otherwise. Feels like the NY version with different titles, as it should!

RE: CNN - oscillon - 17-04-2023

The Washington team did an all-in-one-place gathering at the end of their first show today

Also, Jake Tapper was a guest in the last hour of the show teasing the report about China's secret police in the Lead and congratulating the DC team on the launch.

BTW, New York team also managed to gather in one shot today...

...to do an interview with the climate reporter

RE: CNN - TMD_24 - 17-04-2023

Hopefully we now see The Situation Room return to Studio A now they are using it again for News Central. Wasn't quite a fan of them using a flash studio only then to go back to Studio D whilst they sort the cameras out after The Lead.

RE: CNN - Newsroom - 17-04-2023

Isn't that the SOTU desk they're using?

I think it is by the looks of it.
