And THAT is one of the reasons why he's been fired! You can't expect to live according to your own narrative. What a silly man.

Isn't the issue that he found out he was fired through his agent first? I'm not sure how their response alters that.

RE: CNN - EastCoast - 24-04-2023

Isn’t the point of an agent to handle talent negotiations, meaning the network informs them first?

Yes. This is normal.

RE: CNN - TMD_24 - 24-04-2023

I do wonder if that was a problem on the agents side of deciding to tell Don he was fired rather than just saying he was needed to meet the executives.

RE: CNN - Newsroom - 24-04-2023

We can only assume he chose not to attend a meeting with management. Given the fact he was only last with management over his conduct a matter of weeks ago, an invitation to go meet again would probably have turned his stomach upside down .

This way he can play the martyr and whine about how he was sacked unfairly (hey, doesn't that remind you of someone else? Wink )

We don't know of that's the case though.

If he was invited to said meeting to be told in person but didn't attend, CNN execs would then have told his agent the news who would of course told him.

Don really can't complain they didn't tell him face to face I'd he didn't go to the meeting.

But we'll probably never know.

RE: CNN - Newsroom - 24-04-2023

The CNN This Morning twitter appears to have been updated to show generic branding with no anchor names.

RE: CNN - London Lite - 24-04-2023

Surely this decision was purely because CNN This Morning simply isn't working and having an opinion anchor in Don Lemon jarred?

I don’t think so. They stuck with him on the morning slot long enough. I suspect (but obviously don’t know!) that management have wanted him out for a while, and Tucker Carlson’s firing from Fox News gave CNN a very good excuse to, err… make Lemonade.  Big Grin
