Now, that sounds interesting. I do hope we get to see some of the "classic" idents and not just the ones from more recently.
It all sounds very intriguing, though.

That's a disappointment. We'll never get a Lens Christmas ident for as long as this package goes on for.

Wouldn't this have made more sense last year to pass if off as linked to the BBC 100?
The proof will be in the pudding though as they say - presumably literally.

I predict then, only because it's fun and based on what's on this Christmas, that we wil get the following re-used:
The Zog/Gruffalo ones from 2020 - with this years character added, The Shaun the Sheep ones because Shaun will feature over Christmas and Doctor Who featuring both the old David Tennant ones and new ones to feature Ncuti.
I'm probably though, totally wrong. All of the ones above would work with the current style of the BBC ONE on idents.

Whilst it'd be nice to see that particular combination of idents, there's sadly no way that BBC One would ever mix and match so many different ident packages over one Christmas.
It basically looks like we'll be getting Julia Donaldson ones, old and new.

The 2020 ones weren't too bad to be honest. I think they would have been laargely unnoticed due to the Christmas in lockdown and cancelled Christmas policies. If they have refreshed them and added a couple of new ones, then I think it's fine - just this once, but it is a shame that the BBC Creativity department seem to have run out of ideas for creativity.

I’d have thought the opposite would be true and they would have been more noticed due to Christmas in lockdown? Without parties, socials, pubs, everyone was at home watching more linear TV.
As for this rumour, I see nothing wrong with repeating previous Christmas idents per se - but I do find it strange if they’re repeating such specific ones. Generic Christmas themed is one thing, but idents promo-ing one of that year’s big premieres feels dated.
