Tipping Point and DOND is made by Banijay so I wouldn't be surprised if some sort of deal is made to have Remarkable produce both.
80 episodes of Tipping Point would be fine and coupled with repeats of previous episodes, you wouldn't notice it had less episodes.

Nice to see it explicably confirmed from last week's 1% Club winner that its ITV's policy not to issue prize money until 30 days after transmission.
Her five months wait is not too bad, but some other shows which are on the shelf for longer that must be quite frustrating.

Must be even more frustrating when it's one of those shows that never gets aired at all (or at least not until it turns up on Challenge or similar years later, like the last 20 episodes of the 2007 Supermarket Sweep- though do they have to pay out then if it's never actually shown on ITV itself?).
Gameshow episodes sitting on shelves for ages has long been a thing, even in the 80s and 90s, sometimes with months between episodes, a lone episode going out months before or after any others, or episodes from one series not airing until after a series made later has premiered!
I remember reading about some Canadian gameshow Alex Trebek hosted pre-Jeopardy, and the company went bust during production which meant Alex never got his pay check and many of the contestants never got their winnings, yet the episodes were still being repeated for years afterwards.

Talking of the 1% Club I noticed there is a few international versions now.
I haven’t checked the video but the French, like all good French primetime gameshows seems to be over two hours long.

It also seems to be a BBC Studios France production as BBC Studios seem to have a relationship with the producers to sell their formats internationally.

I suspect contestants on the unaired episodes of Shafted have given up all hope of ever receiving anything that was won, 23 years down the line.
But yes your episode tended to get aired in the 80s/90s at some point as they were a fixed amount of episodes, done in one block booking and almost certainly guaranteed to air at some point. whereas these days they knock shows out in bulk, hundreds of episodes a year and mix and match from anywhere up to about half a dozen series on airing, so hardly surprising you can go for months/years before your episode turns up..

In a recent episode of the podcast The Rest is Entertainment, Richard Osman said that the contestants on the unaired Shafted episodes did receive their prize money.
IIRC this was as a throw away quick answer to a question from Marina Hyde rather than a listener question that he had researched specifically for the podcast so even though he was involved in the production all those years ago, he could be mistaken.
