I'll always remember this moment from Millionaire regarding a contestant with a disability

And on a related note here's the time somebody phoned up Quizmania and declared that they were legless:

Some weird people around at 3 in the morning it would appear. Glad I'm otherwise occupied at that time Big Grin

I notice the new series of Only Connect dropped last night, and the social distancing screens have been dropped as well.
Which is nice.

Also I managed to get a question right, which was also nice, but it wasn't this one, which I thought I had until the last clue:

Unfortunately we don't seem to have a spoiler tag on the forum so I'll just have to Meep Meep instead. Wink

It makes sense for the social distancing screens to be retained across the length of a series, so their removal for this series was inevitable.

I think both UC and OC's previous series were filmed while Covid compliant rules were placed which was either February or March of last year and for continuity reasons they just kept them in although Christmas UC which is filmed a lot later than the regular series didn't have them.

Oh I know that but I just wanted to brag that I got an OC question correct Big Grin

lol, cheeky Bradley Walsh sneaked in a plug for one of his other shows on The Chase. A question asked about which show Kenny Everett broke Terry Wogan's wand on, the answer being Blankety Blank. Brad then joked they should bring it back - which of course, they already did, and he hosts.

These are reruns though filmed I think before it was bought back.

Yeah, the current episodes are re-runs from 2020, and of course the new series for Blankety Blank would follow the following calendar year.

That aside, I dare say not the first time some host promotes (accidentally or otherwise) something else they happen to be doing, in jest or otherwise, though it probably didn't happen very often back in the day - you'd have the usual "Fred and Wilma are appearing in panto this year at the Bedrock theatre" type of mentions though, which was the usual exception around the Christmas specials.
