Was that the Keith Chegwin doing the "computer music"?

Gyles Brandreth will be playing the part of Richard Osman on Pointless from 16th August, which is a Wednesday which is an odd day for someone new to join.

Put that date in your diaries.

They seem to have an 11 show cycle of the guest hosts - guess they film 2-3 on their first day then 3-4 on subsequent days. New episodes began this week on Tuesday after a run of repeats which were from within the last year. Quite surprised they didn't hold new episodes back till September and air some older Osman episodes, though also some logic in airing new episodes against repeats of The Chase.

This sounds rather bizarre.
Reports that Total Wipeout could be making a comeback...but this time it will be naked. Channel 5 are reportedly most interested.

Is there any indication that they will return to a single Richard Osman in the near future, or even if there is a favourite?

Feel like the contestant’s flights to Argentina alone would be outside the budget of a Channel 5 show, why would they go to that expense *and then* make it unbroadcastable during the daytime.

Total wipeout on Channel 5 is surely every time Frew looks at the schedule?

If it was C4 I'd believe it!

Well that'll be an interesting tagline - big red balls meet... some other red balls Wink

Must be remembered though - if you hit water hard enough it hurts - even if you have your clothes on. So I'd be surprised if anybody gets through that course without turning purple in the process. Plus it sounds incredibly silly thing to do anyway.

Anyway the paper is hardly a credible source - The Sun of all places, especially after recent events, and just... well in general basically with that rag.

Shame Keith Chegwin is no longer with us, this would be right up his um, alley.
