Des chiffres et des lettres has sort of already done that, you just decide how many vowels you want and the computer generates the letters and shoves them on the screen. It might look incredibly flashy and modern, but doesn't have any of the charm of the UK show, does Des chiffres et des lettres these days.
Same for numbers I believe - though looking at some recent episodes you don't seem to have any say in how many large numbers you want - computer just generates six random numbers and a target and off you go.

For the Wheel of Fortune reboot, will there be prizes of household items etc as before where the strokers come on and parade them? If not, it'll only add to an already stuffy format. The cheese was part of the reason why the original lasted so long - just giving people money is boring.

Both cash and prizes according to ITV Media.

The original had cash prizes for landing on certain scores on the wheel or revealing a certain letter on the board so that could be a reference to that, as well as the grand prize being whatever number of thousands of pounds and/or a car.

Famous blind gentleman Chris McCausland is on Richard Osman's House of Games next week. I wonder if they have accommodated his lack of vision by adjusting the games somehow or only playing rounds that don't require sight, assuming there are enough rounds that fit that criteria.
Answer Smash is the round that will definitely be different. I wonder how it will be done.
It will be interesting, especially given the news about University Challenge this afternoon.

Sadly they don't keep the Breakfast episodes online long enough to link to, but essentially he said all the rounds which relied on visuals have been adjusted to use audio instead and was quite praising of the work of the production team. In the case of Answer Smash in particular they do this by now joining the question with the title of a played out song rather than joining the question with a picture.
Answer Smash is the round that will definitely be different. I wonder how it will be done.

Sometimes the need to change things works out to be hugely beneficial - they'll probably have a few new rounds out of this and a much needed variation on Answer Smash.
I did stop watching regularly a couple of years ago but drop in from time to time now and as a result it feels fresher than perhaps it might otherwise.
