Well the difference is Jeopardy’s been tried here before and never rally stuck, whereas The Chase and tipping point were new formats. So of course Stephen Fry is a big name host for daytime ITV but does the daytime ITV audience really want him?

I must say, my confidence re Jeopardy returning is based on the theory that I think Fry and the show being new and unusual will be enough of a novelty for viewers to get it a second series similar to Riddiculous but I agree about its potential appeal and don't think it will last for any great amount of time afterwards.

ITV said the reason for many of the shows being displaced to 2024 including WWTBAM & The Jonathan Ross Show, was due to the rugby taking up too many weekends' broadcasting time - which is understandable.
I think everyone knows it's not JUST because of the rugby. It's just a massive shame that the closest we got to a celebration on Millionaire's 25th anniversary was only a half an hour compilation on the Millionaire YouTube channel. Would've lost to see them bring past contestants/millionaires on to the show to a second run this year.

So, Mamma Mia! ended on 1.6m last night. A pointless commission.

Survivor just beat An Audience with Kylie on 2m.

RE: The TV Gameshow Thread - Brekkie - 11-12-2023

Wouldn't say it was pointless - it just didn't rate and TBH if Kylie only got 2m then 1.6m isn't as bad as it first appears. It's been quite a decent production really and highlighted how TV misses a decent singing talent show now.

RE: The TV Gameshow Thread - tellyblues - 11-12-2023

If it doesn't rate and was expected not to (by everybody else but ITV it seems) then it was pointless. Kylie not rating well is partly to do with being in a bad slot but I doubt it would have rated massively well anyway because it's another tired format.

Adele got over 5m, apparently. I wouldn't say it was a format problem.

I'm surprised that they went with that logo, especially as the 'f' in "of" is in lowercase, whilst every other letter is in capitals and it is really annoying my OCD!
