Still think it could have been better handled but one can imagine it would have been frustrating enough for regional staff before they got word about the King.

Wonder if that was also (at least partly) why ‘Stormfront’ was dropped on UTV?

Having checked other online schedules it appears View from Stormont had in fact already been moved to Tuesday evening at 10.45pm and this was ahead of the 6pm News re King Charles on Monday. It would appear Peston being moved from Wednesday evening to Monday evening due to Wednesday's football was the reason "Stormfront" moved.
