Should add they are going to be in the updated Westminster studio from tonight.

New straps appearing here and there throughout Kay’s show this morning. Looks like it’s new Breakfast branding, either being tested or repeatedly making it to air prematurely (I’d assume the former).

Blue to orange gradient with a glowing circle motif. The gradient is only visible when it’s a full length headline strap. Further info covers the orange once it appears.

(Let’s pray it comes with a return to the Sunrise brand, lol)

It doesn't look bad - definitely feels a bit brighter. Here's a screengrab of the new strap: https://up.metropol247.co.uk/robxu9/Screenshot%202024-04-23%20at%2012_21_18.png

I prefer it. I guess the current scheme has been in since 2021, so a little refresh is probably due. Though I wonder if having darker type would provide greater contrast, making it easier to read the strap.

I wonder if there might be a launch of some new graphics for Breakfast when/if they move back into the revamped main studio at Millbank..?

RE: Sky News - all new phil - 24-04-2024

The World is coming from the updated Westminster set tonight although it’s barely distinguishable from what they used previously. Same angles used such as when using the side screen.

Nice 360 video of the new 'hub' studio in the newsroom on LinkedIn from Harry Ward - https://www.linkedin.com/posts/harry-ward_gaussiansplat-broadcast-design-activity-7189157689027911680-ZtVS?utm_source=share&utm_medium=member_desktop

Hopefully it will not move the main studio, Politics Hub hää deteriorated so much since it moved back there. Such a static presentation again with one presenter shot 20cm in front of a screen.

Sunrise is perfect as it is, they better not mess around with it.

RE: Sky News - Luc - 26-04-2024

Agreed - the newsroom studio has depth. I get that all TV news is basically being shot for phones now but would be a shame to move it
