I don’t even know who she is…

RE: Sky News - Luc - 29-06-2023

Ian King mentioned at the end of his show today that it will go out at 11.30am and 4.30pm from next week instead of 10am. Makes sense really given how often it's been replaced by breaking news recently.

RE: Sky News - SB678 - 29-06-2023

It looks like they've decided to change most of the morning and afternoon line-up. The schedule for Monday has been changed to this:

7 AM to 10 AM - Breakfast with Kay Burley
10 AM to 11:30 AM - Sky News Today with Wilfred Frost
11:30 AM to 12 PM - Business Live with Ian King
12 PM to 2 PM - Sky News Today with Jayne Secker
2 PM to 4:30 PM - Sky News Today with Sarah-Jane Mee
4:30 PM to 5 PM - Business Live with Ian King

Is it possible these were changes meant for later in the year but are happening now due to the constant interruptions to Ian King Live? There still doesn't appear to be a regular presenter for Sky News Tonight in these changes and we know Sophy Ridge is supposed to be getting a new show later this year.

Ian hasn't had much luck with his show lately. It wasn't able to go out at all on Monday due to a technical fault and on Tuesday it ended up being presented from the glass box. Also on Tuesday, bizarrely Ian King ended up presenting 2 hours of regular news from 2 PM in Sarah-Jane Mee's slot with Mark Austin doing the last hour. I have never seen Ian King present a regular news show before.

RE: Sky News - freeview87 - 29-06-2023

Two, half hours for Ian King seems a fair deal. Having a side bar with QR link for a live event works if nothing major.

It would certainly be nice to see the back of the "The Sarah-Jane Mee Show" title which always felt out of place, a hang over from when Kay had that slot and it used the same title.

RE: Sky News - SB678 - 29-06-2023

The schedule for Monday has been updated again and it now seems to suggest the new presenter for Sky News Tonight is Kamali Melbourne.

They also seem to have dropped the titles "Kay Burley" and "Ian King Live" in favour of "Breakfast with Kay Burley" and "Busines Live with Ian King".

It probably makes sense when these shows are regularly covered by other presenters.

It's a shame they phased out the Sunrise name. Because we've now got BBC Breakfast, GBN Breakfast and now Sky Breakfast, there really needs to be more variety.
