RE: Sky News - London Lite - 26-08-2023

What I liked about Kimberley was here was this seasoned international news presenter from Kenya who could have fitted in at DW, TRT World etc, but chose to move to the UK from Doha and work on a domestic news channel and after a short period, thrived off working on big UK stories, covering the Press Preview etc.

It's a shame she didn't get the mid-morning slot which Wilfred Frost is presenting, but she'd be a good fit on the merged BBC News Channel, which like Nancy Kacungira has excelled at working on domestic stories as well as her international news background.

I hope her new gigs in the UK she's a great presenter

She would be great for CNNI but I'm not sure if they are hiring either. I'd rather have her than some of the current people with regular slots or fill-ins.

I know it's a bank holiday in most of the UK today, but I was still surprised that Sky News Breakfast didn't use the Millbank studio this morning with Jayne Secker in the Glass Box, instead the political interview with Suella Braverman was DTL, same for Amanda Akass who was still there as well.

Kimberley broke down At the end of the weather

Maybe she had put her washing on the line before she went to Sky News this morning.

It was her last show

Sky news all over the air traffic control issues this afternoon.

Nice to see where various sky reports are delayed coming back from their summer holidays.

Do they not have to replace Yalda Hakim?

Maryam Moshiri is Yalda's replacement, but they'll be looking for another swing presenter which was Maryam's role.
