To add to this, it's being branded as Friday Night with Niall Paterson.
The description says "The latest headlines, plus a look back at the biggest news stories of the week."

Clearly not Mark's fault, but I'm surprised that story wasn't handed over to the stand-by presenter in the Glass Box or Millbank.

It's an insult to anyone with anyone with an ounce of brain to report on this non-news fluff at all, during this time, especially from Jerusalem of all places.
Sky reminding us that BBC is not the only one that has reduced its standards drastically.

I'm currently watching my recording of Politics Hub which I'm forced to watch in SD on Sky News.
Unfortunately, because they're using a pushback for the main picture, everything is 'Live from Liverpoo' (perhaps not an error), and the LHS info panel is telling me about 'SREAL-GAZA' and something about a 'J.S. President'
I don't normally have an issue with overscan on my TV.

That wasn't a good look from Sky. I'm not sure if it's usually the case with Sky but I'm not a fan of the trend in recent years with location presenting at ITV especially for the on location presenter to front the entire bulletin rather than hand back to a presenter in the studio for the rest of the days news. If they've got someone in there on standby anyway they might as well use them for the other stories anyway.

I'm sorry but that's a hyperbolic overreaction (something which has become a bad feature of this forum).
Of course Willoughby's resignation shouldn't have been covered by an anchor presenting from a city which is in the middle of an ongoing conflict. However, suggesting that the resignation of one of the most well-known and recognisable faces on UK television from a show she presented for more than a decade as a result of alleged criminal acts is not only apparently 'not news' but shouldn't be reported on full stop is nonsensical. It's just as nonsensical as the notion some made a few months ago that the BBC shouldn't have covered the Phillip Schofield story.

They could have mentioned it later on, not as breaking news in the middle of real breaking news.

That's incredibly subjective. Your opinion of what constitutes breaking news will differ massively to somebody else. It will have been of interest to somebody, and when there's a rolling breaking story of the nature of war there's really no good time to break in to it with a different story.
I agree it could have been handled differently, but it was still news that was breaking.
