I very much doubt he's on the NBC payroll. It's just a case of NBC News Now airing his existing Sky show.

He is a NBC/CNBC/MSNBC contributor as well (and never cut ties with NBC, as that contributor role started when he left CNBC Closing Bell). Not sure what that entails these days, now he has his own Sky slot, but last year for example I think he was one of the main contributors to NBC's coverage of HM Queen Elizabeth II's death and funeral

Well you could say he’s on the same payroll as NBC. Comcast which at times uses Comcast NBC Universal as their name on logos - however there seems to be no logic at times.

During royal events (the funeral and coronation) he was named an NBC News contributor:

At the end of the day it all comes out of the NBC Universal/Comcast pot. Sky is owned by Comcast so is CNBC and NBC News. Same pot no matter what happens to be printed at the top of the proverbial "cheque".

So NBC News Now will likely get an hour of rolling coverage of a UK cabinet reshuffle of names few in America are aware of. Not the best first taste of the show.

Is that the worst thing though? Global politics, and all that. Plus viewers of the BBC News channel seem to like when World News America is shown - is it not just the reverse of that?

RE: Sky News - AJB39 - 13-11-2023

Kay Burley appears to be staying on air through the 10 am hour as well.

RE: Sky News - TMD_24 - 13-11-2023

Quite enjoying the reshuffle coverage, they all seem to be having fun whilst offering serious analysis.

Just looked at the online stream and it appears they started during the 6am repeat of Early Today.
