Those who don't get the reference should look into it. Those who do get it will understand why my rule is 'if your news presentation is instantly reminding me of The Day Today, it's not a good thing'.

Thanks for bringing some levity. Sometimes we get so serious on here. Smile

I may have tuned in a little late but I caught most of the program in the US. The audio was fine, how were you watching in the UK?

RE: Sky News - Pips2022 - 18-11-2023

Niall Paterson’s programme not really much of a change from anything that’s gone before- a review of the week with two guests (who were not exactly vibrant).

I think it’ll find its feet - Niall is great at this sort of thing.

I do think though that Sky need to look at who they’re booking to contribute to shows like this and the paper review. Too many journalists, former MPs and people from whatever think tanks are. I don’t really understand why their opinions are considered noteworthy. Get some real people on there.

There appears to be some building work going on in Westminster studio, so perhaps we’ll see an expanded set, or an additional one there?

RE: Sky News - Gibsy - 20-11-2023

Kay Burley has mentioned on her Instagram “Excuse the dust, it’s a secret but it’ll be worth it when all the work is done”

That's certainly interesting, as the studio/set is relatively new.  I can't see them expanding into the DTL 'pod' as that must surely be very useful for when they want feeds with limited staff usage.

However, I've noticed that they are making increasing use of Millbank these days, so it would be sensible to improve it.
