its a strange implementation of Sky's graphics though like why does the V have a dot next to it? when the graphics animate, the inner animation dosent animate like it does on the proper graphics, and the table information has the teams in all caps which it isnt on the real Sky graphics, I do like the fact they've taken the stunning visuals from Sky and integrated it with a proper theme tune, which is what Sky should be doing, rather then going full throttle with the visuals but putting some pop track over the top of it.

To be fair the Monday Night Football (which those titles come from) theme has been the same since it returned to Sky in 2010 - an arrangement of the 1997 Fluke song “Absurd”. It’s Super Sunday that tends to be associated with a pop music song of the era (not always a bad thing - “Written in the Stars” in the early 2010s worked really well).

"v." and "vs.", with the full stops, are usual abbreviations of versus in the US.

Although US Sports tend to have "Away team AT Home Team" - not sure if they reference football that way.

MLS follows the European style below, not sure if that is replicated by NBC's PL coverage.
Having seen a bit of ESPN's coverage of European soccer, their studio coverage etc. uses the European convention, but then they are using the world feed graphics during the game so it makes sense for their own presentation to stick to what appears during the game.

(PS The MLS scoreboard looks really basic IMO)

Nope, they do the "Home v Away" scheme and refer matches as "Home versus away at stadium name".

Since 2005, MLS follows IFAB/FIFA rules on games, so, that's Home v Away. However, as with most US sports leagues, teams are franchised (and directly O&O by the MLS Commission alongside one investor) and there is no relegation and/or promotion.

Previously, they were some rule alterations to try to make the game more "American" in style: between 1996 and 1999, timing was counted down and not upwards, with no additional time; tied games were resolved in penalties (named shoot-outs, as in ice hockey), where each penalty had to be made within five seconds; if a team won in penalties, they just had an extra table point (instead of 3). By 2004, normal timing was implemented, albeit with a modified golden goal rule, with two "overtime" 5-minute "sudden death" periods; if no one made a goal, the game ended in a tie.

That's the Apple atheistic. Minimalism in extreme, also seen in its set design...

Anyway, let's get back to Premier League matters...

World feed Premier League graphics are the same as we saw in the Summer Series.

RE: Premier League Coverage - JamieMurph25 - 11-08-2023

Sky Sports tweaked the graphics during the matches shown in the UK and Ireland, from my observations from the Burnley vs. Manchester City this evening (11/08/23):

-A new transition during replays
-A new animation on top of on-screen scores for when a goal is scored (no guesses which team dominated that matches)
