They haven't decamped yet and still using the current studio. But I came across this tweet and reply from Nikki Fox at Look East

Technical upgrade in the studio this weekend means Look East simulcasts with London.

I wonder if this is an HD upgrade? First one of those we've seen for a while, isn't it?

Interesting that they've gone with generic BBC News branding instead of "BBC London & East" or similar. Wouldn't be surprised if it was an HD upgrade, the equipment they have dates back to the 90s I think.

Seems an odd region to combine. Surely in these cases it would be sensible to allow the stand-in region to pre-record a full weekend bulletin for those viewers in the other region too.

Interesting decision to brand the bulletin as 'BBC News', whilst still using the regional style. Due to the box logo on the title card, we've ended up with BBC News from BBC News.
Studio D looks quite good in this mode though - more in keeping with the current studio style than C, and the main screens look less washed out.

Makes a change from the various amalgamations of region names. Looks quite nice.

Unfortunately they're using the red straps used on the News Channel.

Funnily enough, London viewers (on iPlayer anyways) actually got the red screen of death instead of the combined bulletin:

Maybe they're installing kit that was taken out of the (presumably decommissioned) Cambridge studio. If nothing else it was newer than what Norwich had been using.
