They’ve a nice if very American looking (on site?) set though - not their usual golf studio.

One issue with the bottom right score bar is that it just labels the matches “1, 2, 3, 4” - up to the viewer to remember which golfers are playing in each match!

You'd hope with the advent of ITVX this would become a possibility, but as of yet it does not look it will happen.

It appears somebody at ITV listened to what I said earlier in the week, with table two of the snooker available to stream via YouTube today.

It's probably the most accessible thing to do to put it on YouTube but seems crazy when they have their own streaming platform sat there.

The Telegraph last week reported that the BBC were offered the rights for the England games for free but turned them down. This essentially seems to be because of the short time frame between the announcement of the fixtures and when they actually take place. It is worth noting that these rights are sold by the Six Nations centrally, like is the case of the men's matches, although from what I can observe the non-Six Nations matches are not sold in one block but by team (i.e. France matches are not shown in the UK). It is also worth noting that there was no live sporting action on BBC One or Two last Saturday oor this coming Saturday, with the usual weekday daytime fare on BBC One each Saturday between Football Focus and Final Score.

The England match last weekend was streamed on YouTube by the RFU, and the same looks to be happening for this weekend's Wales match. The viewing figures for the England stream are below, they would certainly be higher on actual TV.

It's pretty dumb of World Rugby to schedule these games during the men's World Cup - no surprise broadcasters aren't too interested and of course most of the on screen and off screen talent is likely tied up with the men's event anyway.

Remember that those in Scotland cannot use ITVX in any way at all, due to the specific circumstances of STV Group being an independent company that is an affiliate of ITV, allowing STV to show ITV programming. The STV Player has no live stream support whatsoever [beyond live feeds of STV and STV+1], and that would open up ITV to accusations of deliberately blocking access to the sport from Scottish viewers. YouTube is a neutral platform which can be geoblocked to only UK and Ireland viewers, so I can understand why they put it there.

Admin edit: as clarified in a subsequent post, ITVX is in fact available in Scotland, though ITV 1-specific content is generally available on the STV Player only, in Scotland.

doesn't ITVX work for non ITV1 content in Scotland (i.e. 2/3/4 & Be)?

Incorrect.

Yes ITVX is available in Scotland, as evidenced by the ads run on 2/3/4/Be which are available Scotland. Some programmes (i.e. those on STV) aren't available, but most stuff is.

The world feed is what was seen on Sky on Wednesday and Thursday.

And qaccording to the below, the studio would be 'very American looking' as it's shared with NBC.

But I'm sure previously STV have had ITV4 as a live stream during Euros/WC group matches when they've been playing at the same time.

And doesn’t ITVX in Scotland just go by postcode anyway?
