Unfortunately awful picture problems on the feed coming from ESPN for Kentucky v Clemson, essentially unwatchable. Sky had a caption apologising. Issues seem to be resolved now thankfully.

Hibernian coach Nick Montgomery will be wearing a microphone, whilst a member of the Hibs' coaching staff during the match and a player in the warm-up will wear body cams. There will also be some extra behind-the-scenes content from the day. Looking forward to seeing how these will work.

So in the end this did not happen. The SFA blocked the plan after consulting IFAB, citing the section of Law 4 that outlaws the use of additional technology. A bit of an embarassing oversite on Sky and the SPFL's part.

It wasn't the best day for the TNT Sports' rugby graphics at Twickenham (also shown on ITV). In the second of a double header, the men's Premiership match began with the graphics for the women's Premiership appearing, before vanishing quite promptly and not returning for a few minutes. The second half went graphic-less for the first six minutes as well.

They also insisted that Harlequins were in dark red shirts all day, when they were obviously in black ones.

And finally, congratulations to sports broadcasting legends honourd in the New Years Honours list yesterday. It is now Hazel Irvine MBE and Jeff Stelling MBE.

Doesn't look like there will be any multi-court choice available for Sky's tennis coverage.
Only Brisbane tonight with Auckland and Hong Kong starting tomorrow, but there is main draw action across three courts tonight.

First match is from the second court at Brisbane and not the primary one, strange.

First impressions not great then. Tennis fans are paying far more to receive less choice, with more ads and many are speculating very little catch-up option.

And then they are not showing what the organisers/tour deem the biggest match(es) of the day. Really not great.

Watching the United Cup coverage over the last few days, I forgot how much the broadcast can resemble a Visit Australia sponsored video at points. There are a lot of lovely VTs looking at the Australian sights and landscape. Australia does come across as very beautiful though.

They switched to the main court after the match they were showing finished, although it'll probably be for less than two games.

I'd rather see those than adverts.

What Sky should have probably done is taken the Tennis Australia/Channel 9 produced feed for Brisbane, rather than the world feed being done from a broom cupboard in Leeds or a commentator's spare bedroom.

Auckland doesn't start until the 8th. There are two courts being produced from Brisbane though.

That's the ATP event in Auckland. The WTA event begins tonight.

I think I saw it confirmed the Raducanu matches will be shown on Sky, but no legal way to watch any of the other matches in the UK. No catch-up of last night as expected as well.

After 60 minutes of horrendous rain and more mud than grass on the pitch in the live URC rugby from Bridgend on BBC One Wales, the picture is starting to break up quite frequently now. I'e vgot to be honest, the really terrible conditions are making this a fun watch from a sporting and broadcasting perspective.

Not sure how much of a factor it is that this ground doesn't routinely host televised sport, with the match moved from Swansea.com Stadium to Bridgend's Brewery Field due to a clash with Swansea City.

And now a technical fault slide.

Back after 10 minutes off air for around five seconds, now back to the technical fault slide.

Back after another minute off, still breaking up a little. Looks like it's steady though. Thankfully nothing was missed just about.

OB abandoned with four minutes to go - they're going to a standby programme (a Blue Planet II filler).

Not terribly well handled, it must be said.
