This year's free-to-air highlights of the Australian Open women's final is scheduled for 11pm on Saturday 27th on DMAX, so around 16 hours after the match starts and of no use to anyone then planning to get up and watch the men's final live the next morning.
Last year's were at 7pm.
Prior to that they were regularly on the BBC at lunchtime/early afternoon.

Might as well not bother at that time of day, which I'm sure is their endgame.

A bit frustrating that other countries are getting some FTA coverage or guarantees of FTA coverage if needed, whilst we in the UK get two highlights show close to midnight.

BBC Wales’ turn to get the obligatory live Wrexham FA Cup tie - now a Monday night fixture.

Cue the miffed fans.

The full FA Cup fourth round schedule has been published. AFC Bournemouth v. Swansea City will be moved to Thursday the 25th live on S4C "subject to final confirmation". It's almost the FAW Cup with three Welsh teams (hopefully) televised!

Three games have been moved to Friday in addition to the TV games - these are very likely due to police and scheduling clashes. Watford v. Southampton has been moved to the Sunday as well, leaving four games at Saturday 3pm. There are no bonus games on network BBC (Red Button or iPlayer), but the BBC Wales and S4C games will of course end up on iPlayer (and YouTube in S4C's case).

The usual post-Newsnight highlights of the Masters snooker have made way for further live coverage of the Mark Allen v Mark Selby semi-final on BBC2.

Pretty good call - and it's allowed BBC4 to get on with their Annie Nightingale tribute repeat as billed.

And it's only just finished in the late night Extra slot.

The full BBC Sport experience for the snooker tonight. Started on BBC Two, moved after an hour to BBC Four, to move back to BBC Two.

Seema Jaswal starting the week on primetime ITV (The FA Cup draw) and ending it on primetime BBC. Shaun Murphy was tonight's pundit and on air at close to 00:30 despite him having to play at 13:00 today.
I'm still not sure how to judge active players being pundits/commentators on tournaments they are playing in; on one hand, I'd rather them concentrate on their playing and preperations, but on the other it adds a different perspective and more recent experience to the coverage, which should be a positive. It hasn't done any harm to the two player-pundits this week as they have both made the semi-finals.

Dennis Taylor has been absent this week, though John Virgo has done his first Masters in quite a few years. It was the other way at the UK Championships. It looks that both do 2/3 of the BBC tournaments now, following their un-sacking last year (I think Dennis did all three last season).

And it still bugs me slightly that the only BBC Sport graphics that extend to the sides of the sreen is the snooker scoreboard.

No Final Score this week or next week despite a full football league programme, seemingly just because the Premier League has no 3pm kick offs.

Makes sense as the studio wouldn't be able to see any feeds so would be a bit redundant. 5 Live Final Score (Radio 5 Live's around the grounds show with the Final Score graphics) will air on the Red Button from 14:40.
