That'll be why Martin Bayfield is no longer involved then - takes out the need for an extra presenter and pundit.

In comparison, this was based on this advert for Sony Bravia's LCD TV's from 2005: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=KMl5l6mOySU

You know an advert's good when you can do a parody of it 19 years later and people still get the reference.

Know it was mentioned here a few weeks ago and maybe a sign of the times but crazy Ugo Monye doing punditry on the England game for itv today and presenting the BBC highlights tomorrow.

A move wouldn't be necessary as Aston Villa and Wolves are not "paired", as they can both be at home on the same day.

And also mentioned on here a few weeks ago - but a sign of the old times against the current trend - is that Dave Woods has joined Sky to be part of their Super League commentary pool and has severed his BBC ties.

I'm a Rugby Union man but do watch the odd League game and really surprised about Woods leaving the BBC completely, must have been offered Sky Number 1 job as if the rumours are true the BBC will have 12 Super League games this year alongside their existing rights for the Challenge Cup and England Rugby League matches. Surprised he gave up the latter 2 especially the chance to commentate on England and Challenge Cup Final especially in these days as mentioned people working for multiple broadcasters across many sports or even the same events as we see with talent jumping across from BBC to ITV for FA Cup, International Tournaments and Rugby Union.

Really nice graphics on the darts on ITV - much nicer than the style used for the rugby.

Some captures for the Tatler XFest friendly match (which turned sour as Inter Miami's biggest stars, Messi and Suarez, didn't play despite high anticipation: https://www.bbc.com/sport/football/68199137 ) in Hong Kong. ViuTV/NowTV were the broadcast partners of the match.

The scoreboard (top left) and the card noting the change of players (bottom left). The latter space is also used in introducing commentators, arena and referee at the start of the match, an example of which is also seen here composited.

For the Six Nations specials, BBC Wales' Scrum V has moved set. I'm not sure if this will be permanent as they have moved to the atrium or similar for previous Six Nations.

I'm only on my phone, so I can't see whether it's in the atrium or in the green screen studio (like MOTD Wales moved to)?

And what is that desk?? At least it's the right logo, unlike the usual desk which was wrong even on day one (Sport in Gill Sans in 2020).

I'm now watching on delay and it definitely is fake. I think in the 'window' behind Lauren Jenkins is the BBC building, so an odd choice of backdrop. There are some 'extensions' to the studio and extra presentation areas being used as well. Not the worst effort , certainly better than when they are in the dark, empty atrium.

BBC2 currently has a 'TBA' listed for between 17:00 and 19:30 on Saturday 17th February, given that there are rumours that BBC is to be the free to air home of rugby's Super League (and there is a 17:30 kick off that day), I'm assuming it will be this?
