Turns out I've been pronouncing "Viaplay" wrong all this time.

Australian Open coverage on Eurosport and Discovery+, early observations...
Eurosport 2 UK doing their own thing covering Raducanu vs Korpatsch to begin (graphics with times in GMT rather than CET).
No world feed commentary anywhere on Discovery+. Eurosport's own commentators across four matches (world feed is available on six courts so that's two without commentary that could have).
Discovery+ AO Extra channel also with its own separate commentary.

A bit vague whether it is the same rights as now with 1 TV & 1 iplayer stream

BBC press office release says
'In a new joint partnership with the European Broadcasting Union (EBU) and Warner Bros. Discovery (WBD), the BBC will bring comprehensive coverage of the Olympic Games and all the major moments on TV, radio, online and digital to audiences across the UK.'

Is anybody else having trouble playing back many of the streams of the Eurosport 1 and Eurosport 2 coverage of the tennis. All I’m getting is sound with a black screen. The streams of the online coverage are working fine it’s just the streams of the TV coverage.

What's the AO Extra channel for? I haven't checked it out yet, I've been mainly sticking to individual court streams when watching.

World feed commentary still not deployed on matches where Eurosport are not providing their own commentary today. I think Eurosport's approach to commentary on feeds changes every grand slam for some random reason, IIRC two years ago the world feed was available on every court specific stream, then last year it was available away from the main two courts.

Not the biggest of issues with streaming and the time of day, but Britain's Dan Evans' match on neither linear channel at midnight. The unflexability of Eurosport's coverage is a regular complaint though, and sadly doubt it will change.

A wider observation outside of the tennis coverage with Eurosport is how messy the branding is. The channels are called Eurosport, with constant references to Discovery+, and presenters and pundits often wearing clothing branded Warner Bros. Discovery Sport. And if/when BT Sport gets merged in with Eurosport UK, there's potential for more variance/brands to be added, and it just comes across as a bit messy.

Depends where you are, as outside the UK I believe it's pronounced differently...
All a bit Hyundai (though they have gone from three to one pronounciation variant recently)

Basically just a third linear channel with commentary.

According to the Mail, Apple TV+ is reportedly going after PL rights. Even if they failed to secure NFL rights due to the heavy negotiation limitations, Apple's revenues can allow them to attempt such.

That noise heard during the build-up of Wolves v Liverpool on BBC One was really annoying. I'm really glad that it has shut up for once.

Oh dear. The floodlights just went off there at Molineux. That is actually the first time I have seen that happen on live TV.

Here's a clip of the noise:
