Nice to see the RTÉ graphics on the BBC Two Wales coverage of the Republic of Ireland v. Wales women's football firendly. Women's friendlies not using uniform graphics package yet, unlike the Women's Nations League.

Can't keep noticing how away from the side of the screen the scoreboard is. How old are these graphics, because it looks suitable to be 4:3 safe?

The BBC the place to watch the FA Cup this week so far! Both their games have gone to extra time (at least), whilst the two ITV games have been quite one sided.

The BBC News at Ten obviously delayed by 30 minutes at least most probably. Kick-off on BBC One at Blackburn was also delayed by 15 minutes, which hasn't helped.

More like an hour, given it's gone to penalties.

They debuted in 2015, so old, if managing to only just edge out being Six Nations Old. I don’t think they were designed to be 4:3 safe though, not that late in the day.

Personally I think this is a mistake. When Dame Katherine Granger was the BBC's studio pundit at Tokyo 2020 whilst being the president of UK Sport, her analysis of the subpar performance of the British rowing squad had to be very tame was obviously compromised; I fear any critical coverage would be as substandard next week.

UK Athletics have already come under fire for turning down invitations for some athletes who have qualified via the world rankings rather than the more traditional qualifying time method. I fear the BBC analysis of this will be issued with a governing body mouthpiece as part of their team. With it being a home world championships, I hope Michael Johnson will travel over, as his criticism of the sport is often honest and unfiltered, something that should be needed next week.

Dame Denise Lewis has now temporarily stepped back from her role as the President of UK Athletics due to the potential conflict of interest of her working as a BBC pundit.

The News at Ten was the News at 10:50 in the end. There was five minutes between the last penalty and the appearance of Mishal Hussain, a sensible amount so coverage wasn't rushed off air, but the news did air before 11. No interviews or anything in that brief post-match segment.

For tomorrow, the BBC are quite excited that Wayne Rooney will be their guest pundit. Can't remember many other one-off pundits getting a press release before.

Thanks. Old but not ancient then. Odd they were designed like that then. In the clip below, you can compare with the BBC's graphics, which usually clashes with the BBC DOG in the top left corner; RTÉ's is miles away from there.

Expected that to be the other way around - obviously the BBC pay better. Really though you'd have thought both Denise and those who appointed her would have realised that beforehand.

Would the UK Athletics role even pay? It's an elected, mostly (but not totally) ambassadorial role isn't it?

I hadn't thought if that, but that's sounds accurate. Jason Gardiner (another former athlete) was Denise's predecessor. The CEO will be running things.

I'm also surprised that Denise stayed with the BBC rather than UKA, not only because the BBC already have another (more recent) Olympic Heptathlon champion in Dame Jessica Ennis-Hill as part of their team. Their specialities overlap.

The role is paid according to all the articles in the press.
