Very interesting. When was the last time the BBC broadcasted a world title fight, let alone have BBC Wales ever broadcast one?

Am I reading too much into the following that it may not be on iPlayer? No mention of iPlayer in the entire piece (and we know how much the BBC love mentioning it usually) and this saying 'viewers in Wales' with Sky throughout the UK and Ireland.

That could be quite complicated scheduling wise as presumably the big fights tend to land around 10.30pm and it's Eurovision night on BBC1 so MOTD will already be bumped to BBC2, so I guess BBC2 Wales will air the fight with MOTD following, on a delay if needs be.

ITVX will show Serie A live until the end of te season. The Saturday 19:45 kick-off will be streamed every week for the last eight matchdays. Not the biggest matches (Empoli v. Torino is tomorrow's fixture) but great to have more FTA football. Sadly, no mention of James Richardson (or even Mark Chapman) being involved to hark back to Serie A's previous FTA incarnations.

If only on ITVx would say it would be either a world feed job or ITV having a commentator and co-commentator on the whole match, would be different if on itv4 but doubt Chappers would make the jump to itv for a couple of italian matches, would have been nice to see James Richardson again mind you

The Women's European Qualifiers are using the same graphics as the Womn's Nations League earlier in the season. All though this may seem a little odd, the qualifiers are tiered into leagues like the Nations League (this makes qualifying a bit more interesting, with less 9-0, 10-0 wins for the likes of England), so it makes sense they are building on similar branding.

I haven't seen a world feed intro yet, but the intro of the draw show, and the entry music today, is the old faithful Euro 2008 theme. BBC Wals and ITV are using their own intro and graphics for studio segments.

I think RTÉ 2 used the World Feed intro for their coverage of the France v Republic of Ireland match. It’s short but quite nice with all the national flags breaking up and morphing into the Qualifiers logo.

They did and it is indeed the Euro 2008 theme (nowadays used for the UEFA Super Cup and UEFA international friendlies in the men’s game).

I guess it shows how long in the tooth the men’s European Qualifiers graphics are, and if they are giving them a refresher, they could do no worse than look at the Nations League as a template. (I think the current men’s qualifiers graphics are actually based on an old Europa League set themselves).

Possibly John Duddy back in 2007 on BBC NI

And, perhaps uncoincidentally, the theme music of Women's Euro 2022 (and 2017) as well. It was even used as England lifted the trophy 21 months ago (Euro 2008's trophy lift was to the Pirates of the Carribean theme apparently).

Women's Euro 2025 currently has the same logo as 2022, so I wouldn't be too surprised if the same music pops up again. Do we know who is broadcasting next year's tournament? Previous tournaments have been on one broadcaster (the BBC in 2022 and Channel 4 in 2017 most recently), but I wouldn't be too surprised if it follows the men's event, and last year's World Cup, by being split between the BBC and ITV. Wikipedia, without reference, says it will be on the BBC.

The bidding process was last year but nothing seems to have been announced. TF1 announced they had the French rights last September.
