Not surprising the gaudy coloured, hard to understand graphics hace remained on The Hundred.

Like the Women's World Cup, there's a BBC Sport DOG on the top right of the screen throughout the action, not sure if that was there in previous years.

Radio 1 Xtra and Radio 5 Live's The Squad presenter Nick Bright is making his cricket commentary debut today.

The World Para Swimming Championships began today in Manchester. Like their athletics equivalent, it will shown only via the Channel 4 Sport YouTube channel.

S4C have announced they will show every Wales game from the Rugby World Cup. It looks like this a reductioncompared to previous editions, as the usual additional coverage of the opening game, a quarter-final, a semi-final and the final is not mentioned in the press release. S4C will also once again show highlights of Wales' matches that are live on Amazon Prime in the coming weeks.

A shame thanks to no live TV coverage a home para world champs will go by largely unnoticed.

And S4C now confirmed live coverage of the opening match, a quarter final, semi final, 3rd place and final.

A complete overhaul of their Pres team from last time round (no Catrin Heledd or Gareth Rhys Owen among others)

Time was when Arthur Emyr (ex-Wales and Swansea winger) used to make an on-air comeback every few years to anchor S4C coverage (he was the first presenter of Sgorio and head of sport at BBC Wales for a while) - 2015 appears to be his last tournament.

In 2011, Arthur was partnered on every live game and highlights show with a supposed newcomer to presenting - whose name escapes me - there to read out tweets etc and she ended up either being used very sparingly or not at all, just sitting silently next to Arthur and his pundits. Her on-screen career appears to have started and ended there.

Meanwhile, S4C will also be showing the British Speedway Grand Prix - an annual Cardiff fixture - live for the first time. The PR suggests they've sub-licensed this from WBD?

Soccer Saturday debuts it’s new set also on Saturday, and presumably it’s Simon Thomas first programme too (although that said, Julian Warren would often present on occasions where, like Saturday, the Premier League isn’t playing).

Former Love Island contestant - turned BBC reporter for the Hundred Chris Hughes has received quite some criticism for saying to a female cricketer in a live interview “You’re a little Barbie yourself aren’t you”. It has been reported that the BBC have spoken to Hughes about his comment. Obviously it was, at best, a rather insensitive comment.

There is a second layer of the online criticism aimed towards that a former Love Island contestant should not be a part of cricket coverage. I can partly agree with that, though it is obvious the likes of Hughes are there to try and appeal to a new audience for cricket (the apparent M.O. of the entire The Hundred), and if they are knowledgeable and enthusiastic this should be encouraged. But, despite Hughes coming across as knowledgeable in his appearances on the ITV Racing coverage, his use of the now outdated term "bastman" (the gender neutral "batter" replaced it in the law book a few years ago) might indicate that Hughes falls below the desired threshold.

Ironically, during Wednesday's game between London Spirit and Oval Invincibles, Hughes apologised for bad language used by an Invincibles player.

Chris Hughes is excellent on the racing coverage and should be judged as a broadcaster rather than ex-Love Island contestant - though that said if you bring in an ex-Love Islander and they flirt a bit during interviews you can't really complain. Sue Barker was often quite flirty herself talking to male tennis players.

Can't help but feel if the cricketer had passed a comment about Chris looking like Ken there wouldn't be an issue.

Feels like a clickbait storm in a teacup.
