Football Focus seems to have a new virtual set. Has a similar feel to the ITV Sport one compared to before with a city back drop presumably Manchester but possibly a mixture of buildings.

Difficult to say whether they’re still in the same studio as last season, all they’re using the smaller space in the BBC Sport centre. Will be interesting to see how it translates to the other programmes. Feels smaller than the old design.

Odd to air that against the England game. Really nice set though, but feels more One Show/Morning Live than for the football. Another new intro sequence too which is very underwhelming.

Looks like the 12.30 kick off been delayed half an hour so likely to finish past 3pm given the new FIFA time rules.

ITV promoting Panthers/Jets preseason game on ITVX during the England game.

ITV X will be showing a NFL preseason game between the Carolina Panthers and the New York Jets tonight at 21:00.

ITV X's second live sport streaming exclusive after the World Rugby Under 20s Championship final.

Sticking with NFL, NFL Game Pass is now available via DAZN and is showing most (all?) other preseason games. I've seen a few people with issues with the service.

Final Score coming from a new virtual set that looks like a multi-story car park, granted a nice multi-story car park . Unlike Football Focus the furniture seems that same as the previous seasons, just different virtual surroundings.

Though I agree with your point; all home nations games, plus those involving "big hitters", such as New Zealand, France, Australia and South Africa, being default set on ITV1, but having Japan v Namibia on that channel is highly debatable.

Looks like the press pack is wrong as today during the England match ITV has a promotion for the Rugby World Cup and Said ITV1, ITV4 and ITVX.

Seems to have been a botched migration of accounts from the old service - there was a middle priced tier that has been done away with (basically NFL Network, NFL Redzone and game highlights) and how does those particular accounts were migrated over appears to be the route of the cause.

Panthers v Jets is also on Sky Sports and (I think) NFL Network too.

Elsewhere, there seems to be some suggestion that TNT will be showing some college football but likely to be just the SEC on CBS, which doesn’t start till mid-September for now obscure reasons (they make it up with double headers later). Not sure if that’s confirmed, though and there’s some contradictory information out there.

I think ITV News did the car park look better.  Seems a very grey and depressing set.

Very minamalist is how I would describe the new Final Score titles. 10, 15 seconds long with a vidprinter-style animation of team names zooming out to form the words final score.

Kelly Somers (and presumably Mark Clemmit) now have their own table and stool for the EFL updates. The studio does look very bland.

The music is just so nondescript too.
