And the ticker along the bottom went at such a pace I couldn't digest any of the info.

That's probably intentional since bookings means yellow cards. I can imagine a similar graphic for sendings off being red.

This additional added time business is going to play havoc with LaLiga’s staggered kick offs - LLTV (as it appears to have been rechristened - feed being taken by Premier Sports) had to go double box as Villareal v Real Betis came to a conclusion to barely avoid missing the start of Barcelona v Getafe. I notice there’s no LLTV DOG for the same game on ITV4.

It was a little hectic on Sky earlier with only 20 minutes in between Brentford v. Tottenham and Chelsea v. Liverpool - though that was mainly down to the delayed kick-off due to there being no water supply in the stadium. There was more ads than punditry in that 20 minutes for sure.

The monochrome logos are not helpful for a non-aficionado of La Liga to understand easily which team is playing, they're up there with some of the traditional German football codes used on the Bundesliga graphics for sure (e.g. SGE = Eintracht Frankfurt).

I don't think so as it's the same design for all statistics that appeared in that box. For some reason the shade of yellow in the statistics graohic is a different shade of yellow used on the ticker below (the ticker is darker yellow).

Decently sized and visable red card graphics seem to be kryptonite and the new La Liga graphics are no exception. Red on white is not bad though, it's just small.

TNT Sports will not show Potuguese Primeira Liga this season. Viaplay also showed action from the league last season, but nothing is scheduled by them either.

I can't see broadcasters being happy about these ridiculously lengthy injury times - not only a scheduling headache but eating into ad time too when a half takes almost a clock hour and in the case of a match starting on the hour leaves no time at the end of the second half to get ads in before the start of the next hour.

Sky going from 40 minutes between matches to 20 minutes is going to significantly hit their available ad time over the season and ultimately what they're willing to pay.

Not sure it affect the ad time they showed 4 breaks in that 20 minutes

The new La Liga world fee title sequence. Not sure why you would ditch your quite good own theme music for 25 year old rock song. But it's not like I understand many decision that league makes.

A bit annoying that ITV don't have a clean feed for their studio analysis with the ITV graphics on top of La Liga graphics.

Based on the 2.Bundesliga, probably a new-look intro but no new graphics fro the Bundesliga on Friday night. I won't hold my breath for the Harry Kane effect to reach Sky to get them to put a bit more effort in their coverage. Though in fairness, they have shown via their YouTube channel all 2. Bundesliga matches that have been produced with English commentary after two years of absolutely nothing.

Have ITV4 lost sound on the La Liga match?

EDIT: Ignore me, Soundbar went into some sort of protection mode due to a loud noise.

Sarah Mulkerrins is on her way to Budapest for the World Athletics Championships for the BBC (via train, which is probably less fun than it sounds!). I'd presume she'll be covering for Jeanette Kwaykye as reporter for at least the first few days, if not the whole championship.

Good to see Sky Sports will be showing the US Open tennis across plenty of their channels.
Interesting to see that the Monday Night Football studio was announced to be the base of Sky's US Open covergae as well. Prime Video, when they could, always anchored on site in New York. I didn't see any of their original run of broadcasting it, but were Sky onsite in New York previously?

The UK is among 35 countries planning to boycott the Olympics if Russia and Belarus compete according to the Ukrainian government.
