ITV London should do more live specials like the one they did last week in Lewisham,

London is pre-rec from the weather forecast onwards during the 6.  Other bulletins are fully live.

I visited ITN in 2017 and I got to see the main studio, Studio 1. 

Pure wall to wall green screen, with two desks facing each other, with ITV News London using the smaller desk. 

When I was there, the first 15 minutes was live, and the last 15 minutes was pre-recorded at 5.30pm. I was told this was to give Mary Nightingale and her team time to get into the studio, prepare for the bulletin and ensure a smooth and quick transition at 6.30pm. 

Maybe this has changed since I visited?

I expect Covid might have changed some working arrangements? I know that the Lunchtime News stopped using the small desk around that time.
