The digital studio looks perfectly fine - the background is screens, isn't it, so presumably those can be adjusted if needs be? The colours were a bit dull which I think threw me a bit initially as that background against their skintones and under that lighting meant that on some shots it looked more artificial than the actual virtual studio.

The desk wasn't great - very much looked like they were seated around a table pulled from the cafe at my former university - but that's just window dressing.

Overall- it's a decent set up which does its job and, like BBC Studio B, will no doubt have some stronger looks than dome others. The one today didn't quite work for me but hey ho, that's how it hoes.

As I think you can see, they're playing it quite safe at the moment. The space is very versatile with a view of the newsroom (that you couldn't see today), a large screen in the newsroom plus movable screens inside the studio itself. Hopefully you will get more of an idea in the coming months.  It is also possible to operate it with a very small team, making these more ad hoc programmes possible on a much smaller budget.
