Big news coming out of CNBC: The News with Shepard Smith has been canceled due to new management posing its stamp at the business network, which wants to return to business-focused content in prime time, even with its decent and slowly-increasing ratings, which were obviously smaller compared to the big ones. Shep is also leaving the NBC News family.

As midterm election night nears, NBC has temporarily moved back Nightly to Studio 3A (currently used by NBC News Now and NBC News Daily) to free up Studio 1A for set modifications and coverage rehearsals.

Previously, MSNBC moved its programming from its regular studio in their side of 3A. Morning Joe and Deadline: White House moved to the former Megyn Kelly studio (which is still intact), whilst other shows moved to the newsroom nook in 4E.

That is a shame, it was a great news program, that I watched almost daily.

KFMB, the Tegna-owned CBS affiliate in San Diego, has unveiled a large scale update of its studio set, originally designed by BDI. Although the bones of the set and some elements (like the anchor desk) remain in place, the set gained many new elements which are closer to those of a normal Tegna corporate set, most of which were done by Joe Lamberta.

Quite a lot of new studio offerings from Nexstar recently, as WWLP (NBC, Springfield) had one on the air during the Midterms (of all nights), while KXAN (NBC, Austin) is coming along.

WWLP:
