The closure of Salto and the Olympics in Paris next summer seems to have give them the reason to upgrade it.

Still ridiculous that this is still the exception rather than the rule though.

I've discovered the France 3 regional output is 1080p/25fps, but perfectly fine for news. The overseas departments news bulletins are 50fps.

Not all of the France 3 regions appear to be native HD yet. F3 Centre-Val de Loire based in Orléans is still SD for local programming.

With on-going industrial action at the F3 regions due to the introduction of a new regional brand for the news programmes and the axing of the national news on France 3 with replacement bulletins on Franceinfo, France.tv have reduced the resolution of the news bulletins that are still going ahead to 720p from 1080p on catch-up.

Other content from France Télévisions on VOD and live is still Full HD.

That seems to be an odd call - just the case of somebody who doesn't usually upload them not doing so correctly?

Big news out of M6: Nicolas de Tavernost is retiring. Although his plan was for retirement in 2025, the failed merger with TF1 and the changes in the landscape has led to the earlier date of April 23. According to Le Figaro, David Larramendy, who currently leads the company’s ad and new media businesses, is set to replace him. De Tavernost has been with M6 since its inception in 1987.
