Network Distribution reportedly in liquidation
#71

It looks like a new distributor called Old Gold Media is taking up where Network left off and is re-releasing some titles from the Network catalogue on 20th May with apparently more titles to come. There is more information and some discussion about the new company's background and plans here: forum.blu-ray.com .

Looks like it's just Fremantle titles they're releasing, for now anyway.

Excellent news! I wish all involved the very best and hope they go on to do their thing for a very, very long time.

I saw some of these releases popping up on Amazon and thought it'd be either bootlegs or some other sort of scam on account of how awful the Old Gold Media logo looked.

Really hope they dump the Algerian font logo, using that font is a defining quality of low-effort fly by night outfits.

It appears Spirit, who I think handled Network's distribution previously, are also reissuing a number of Network titles - including their excellent Gerry Anderson HD remasters:

"Packaging Design © 2024"

Are these the same packaging as the Network releases with new numbers and labels and obvously missing the Network logo? I notice they say ITV Studios on the back packaging if you follow the Amazon links.

Correct, and yes the Network packaging normally features the rights owner's logo.

In fact the Coronation Street boxsets I've got have the Granada endcap from the era in question (complete with the for IT\* part on the 1990s one).
