Still with Apple, the talks with the NFL on getting the Sunday Ticket package starting next year have stalled. Reportedly Apple has been trying to convince the NFL to get not only the North American rights, but also globally, and change the situation with regards to domestic blackouts; the NFL is not willing to do so, given their very lucrative deals with the networks and ESPN. As a result, The Athletic is reporting Apple is trying to back out of talks, and The New York Times is also reporting Google is now in the frontline to get the rights, which could boost its already popular YouTube TV service and expand it beyond the United States.
