Why?

Really do feel like the interval acts have gone down in quality in recent years. Just more of the same rather than something different.

Hopefully at least Petra Mede gets the opportunity to shine once again and really highlight how overrated Hannah Waddingham really was.

To quote Lynda Woodruff: "So basically, nothing has changed".

Hannah Waddingham was rated because she's about the only reasonable alternative to Pedra in recent years!

Dame Joanna Lumley will be the UK's spokesperson

That would make a fiendish Only Connect question
Quote:Joanna follows in the illustrious footsteps of previous spokespeople which includes Catherine Tate, AJ Odudu, Amanda Holden, Nigella Lawson, Mel Giedroyc, Richard Osman, Alex Jones, Cheryl Baker and Katrina Leskanich from Katrina & The Waves amongst many others.

I can hear it now...

"Good evening, this is London calling. Thank you for an Absolutely Fabulous night..."

And the Eurovision all-stars theme looks to be continuing..

Eleni Foureira, Eric Saade and Chanel to open Semi 1 with an act called "United by Music"

Would've been nice to have the results come from Brighton this year, or at least Liverpool, but feel like they probably would've said that in the press release. Can't see them shipping her up to Salford just for a minute's work so expect this will be back in London again.

Preview clip of Olly Alexander in his second rehearsal. Definitely the UK's most bold staging in a VERY long time

And after the UK gets 12 points (or 0) from anyone -

"Yeah, cheers, thanks a lot"

Well this years Turquoise Carpet is the most awful I can remember, no fans, no walking down the carpet, just 30 second interviews interparsed with stock footage and elevator music.

Not a great start Malmo 🙁
