There was rather infamously a gap of a good couple of years between the first and second Tracy where she was always "listening to her tapes" or similar.

Not that it's unusual for kids on soaps to vanish for long periods, even when not between actors. I imagine most parents wish their kids were like that. Gemma and Chesney have 5 kids living with them and it's amazing how little we see of them.

I'm not sure I'd ever want to be "taken up the bistro" by Kirk. Confused It sounds most unpleasant.

However, I did nearly fall off the sofa laughing. Tongue

I could see her being a bit like Diane in Emmerdale and pops back whenever there is a big funeral or something like that.

Strange, strange storyline at the moment with 'The Institute'. I'm not sure where they're going with that.

They’ve given themselves a lot of work for the future there, as at some point they will need to cast 4 older kids/teenagers to play Gemma’s quads. Unless they axe Gemma and/or Chesney before hand.

There are a lot of strange storylines in Corrie at the moment. I hope the new show runner can take it in a different direction and lighten it a bit.

Is there a new show runner? I know Emmerdale's getting one, but I don't recall reading Corrie getting a new one.

Kate Brooks moved across from Emmerdale in April. I'm assuming much of what is going out now is before her tenure.

When producers change, you often don't get the new producer credited for quite a while after they join because it takes a while for their work to end up on screen.

That sounds like a good plan. Have you considered contributing scripts for the plotline? Big Grin
