RE: Eurovision Song Contest 2024 - XIII - 11-05-2024

Even with current events and the disqualification of Joost Klein, Eurovision is still going ahead no matter what.

RE: Eurovision Song Contest 2024 - UTVLifer - 11-05-2024

Big question now is what's going to happen tonight with the Netherlands' televoting - Will they still get a vote? Or will they be lumped in with the Rest of the World?

Nikkie de Jager (2021 co-host) is supposed to be on jury spokesman duty tonight for the Netherlands

RE: Eurovision Song Contest 2024 - Brekkie - 11-05-2024

Netherlands viewers will reportedly be denied a vote too, unlike other countries who participated in the semi finals but won't be in the final. (P.S. I though NOS were the Netherlands PSB?)

ITV were probably hasty in clearing their schedule tonight.

It would appear that the EBU haven't decided yet

AVROTROS have been the competing PSB broadcaster for the Netherlands since 2014

RE: Eurovision Song Contest 2024 - Jon - 11-05-2024

Can’t see why Dutch viewers wouldn’t be able to vote, as all countries that don’t qualify for the final get to vote.

The only potential issue I could see is if the Dutch broadcaster decided not to show it.

RE: Eurovision Song Contest 2024 - gottago - 11-05-2024

NOS says on their live blog that Dutch viewers will still be voting.

RE: Eurovision Song Contest 2024 - Brekkie - 11-05-2024

Some sort of common sense prevailed then, but that should have been stated in the earlier statement to avoid the speculation of the last hour.
