It's the latest wave of the deal they made in 2017 to put some in-house shows out to tender in return for BBC Studios making shows for third parties.

Iceland have officially threatened to boycott eurovision if Israel participates. Songvakeppen is now a separate contest, with the winner and RUV discussing whether to participate afterwards:
