JACKLUFC1998 Wrote:Look North pan regional tonight from Leeds. Was the pre recorded Yorkshire and Lincolnshire announcement (not the one for the Hull Look North, but the one for Sunday Politics) used at the start of the News at Six?

No it was the usual announcement that Yorkshire would use

Tom Ingall linking into a report from Tom Ingall just then

I wonder if Paul will mention Peter. Surely he won’t be able to resist?!

Surprisingly heavy on stories from the Belmont patch. Can't say that I expected to see a local radio presenter file a report too given the circumstances of the strike.

Was it a story that was definitely recorded today?

Ian White presenting live at the Lincolnshire Show for Calendar tonight with Kerrie Gosney there too.

Over on Look North, no visit for Peter Levy this year who was in the studio. They did however send a cardboard cutout. Those cuts must be starting to bite.

Did this go out on the Belmont edition only? If so, who presented on the Emley edition?

Belmont only. Lara and Jon Hill for the Emley edition.

ITV have a knack for this in the sub-regions. Provide a full live edition as an OB and a pre-recorded standard bulletin in the other.

The most recent example away from the YTV region was Central's coverage of the Nottingham attacks on the East edition and a pre-rec bulletin from the studio for the West.

What about for the Jo Cox murder? Did Calendar go pan regional that day or did the Belmont edition get a pre-record from the studio? I seem to remember Christine Talbot hosted live from Birstall town centre when that happened.

Just thinking with Mike McCarthy talking to Clare Frisby on today's Look North (Leeds) bulletins, did both him and Clare used to host together when he was at Look North? Also with Clare being in Sheffield as well, who hosted this morning's Breakfast bulletins - would it have been Tom Ingall?
