That was during the infamous Red Bee breakdown.

Yes I believe it was around 10pm that night that the channel started doing this for a couple of hours eventually it was simulcasting Kiss. It quite literally was a broken record because that was all it could play out

What year would this have been? Looking at the branding I’d say after 2005 but before 2010 but I can’t be sure.

Also why would breakfast keep reappearing, even the programme menu and the breakfast card stopped the ident from playing

2006. You can see the date in numerals at the end of Breakfast. MMVI. This year is MMXXIV

The YouTube uploader has helpfully put the exact date in the description...

...which means we can find contemporary discussion on the matter. I don't think it gives a definite answer though.

Presentation's automation going pear shaped, I believe. After a while the Breakfast studio noticed they were on air (or Pres told them) so they put up the title card.

And someone linked a video to that channel from someone who likes to change his thumbnails to "amusing" ones when they're reposted here (and on the blue and purple places before them....)

He'll probably prove me wrong here... but when I was looking through the comments, it seems like someone made it for him. So he actually might not.

RE: TV Mistakes/Breakdowns - BlueFrog - 07-04-2024

Not a breakdown by any means, but it's certainly interesting.

The regional feeds for That's TV as far as I know show three hours of regional news from 3-6am. This really is just them looping a 5 minute report from earlier in the day which is low quality. I switched to That's TV Central Scotland on channel 8 as that was the last channel I was on, and it's almost like it instantly happened - because it was on the weather screen for a few seconds, and then it made an abrupt cut into what was showing on the national That's TV feed (Prisoner Cell Block H). No DOG aswell. It then went to That's 80s for a little bit until 4am when the news came back.

Does this happen often on regional feeds? I know That's TV have a record of not keeping up with their own schedules and they certainly don't broadcast the scheduled programming always. But this especially is weird to me because it looks as if at a certain point they were, but then they just didn't.

Deleted, wasn’t actually a breakdown.
