A combined 24 minutes of stoppage time during the England game meaning the ITV programme is overlapping the live BBC match.
Goodness it really does look leaps ahead of what we've seen of the BBC so far. As you said, might be down to a bigger space at this particular stadium. Early days yet.

Laura Woods has just said they had to re-do the ITV titles last week when Sadio Mane was ruled out of the tournament with Injury.

Am usually a big fan of the BBC but I don't feel like they've made a big effort in terms of presentation at all - the titles are generic, low imagination and have absolutely no connection to the host country. Plus the graphics that are inferior to the host broadcast offering.
At least ITV have given some Qatari influence in their graphics and animations.

And they've employed Laura Woods who according to the Twitterverse has won it for ITV over the BBC. She's actually trending though possibly not for the same reasons as Alex Scott. Fantastic to see two fabulous women fronting football on the world stage! About time!

You could see it briefly in the background of the presenters, but the BBC did their historical 'Lets talk as something goes on behind us that we won't show.'

I know it's a difficult vibe to get right for this World Cup, but it does at least have a bit of an event feel about it on ITV with the graphics, titles and set attempting to capture something of the location.
BBC seem to have gone understated and generic.

Very Sad news being announced that Roger Pearce. A long-standing production worked on ITV, has died in Qatar. He was 64/65. RIP.

The titles also show Son Heung-Min wearing a mask after the facial injury he recieved a couple of weeks ago, so that's another recent thing.

Fox's "no controversy" coverage is getting problematic: a new investigation by The Washington Post sports reporter Ben Strauss got some tips on their original plans, which involved USA origination and a limited presence in the country, but a last-minute deal with Qatar Airways, which included "comped flights" for its talent, changed things altogether, sparking debates on their involvement in the overall coverage.
