There are two issues here. Firstly, I think there would be a very difficult case to make that a presenter is a 'sitting tenant' in a role with Breakfast if they have, for example, been a shift presenter for the News Channel. Contracts will vary but critically the nature of the roll is different as well. Secondly, it depends on the redundancy package. Some have taken voluntary which restricts their future options (but contains a nice buy out). 

All of this said, there is a nice opportunity to use Breakfast in a way in which staff *could* move up, very much akin to how it initially operated with the move from London.

Sounds about right. I believe it was removed due to the daily government minister interviews, which sometimes overran. I can't recall if ministerial interviews occurred daily pre-Covid. I'm guessing the the current PM's decision not to have ministers do daily interviews and instead more ad-hoc during the week they've decided the time is right to reinstate this regional bulletin.

BBC Breakfast is expected to get new titles later this year and will also adopt the Chameleon template (blocks top, ‘NEWS’ bottom). The programme is expected to move to its new studio around late-spring.

So it looks like it will be around May time when they move into the new studio

They don't really have titles at present, it's more like just a sting.

Really hope they find a new colour in place of the orange when Breakfast gets its new set and titles later this year. The current shade of orange, used as excessively as it is, is really off putting.

Given that certain shades of orange, pink and yellow are variously suggestive of a sunrise and/or the sun, and are also in the warm/hot part of the colour spectrum (as is red - the BBC News corporate colour), I don't know what else anybody would expect.

Breakfast is hardly likely to adopt a lime-green-and-plum-purple colour scheme, or anything.
