Or keep Tipping Point celebrity specials for prime time, and put Deal or No Deal in it's daily slot?

However, I am concerned at this current reboot - the original version with Noel had the balance just perfect - they also had the ability as being on air nearly all year, to do specials for seasonal times. I doubt ITV would ever commit to a similar style

Stephen Mulhern will be on The One Show in about 2 minutes. He will be talking about Deal or no Deal, but what will he say?

I bet he says he liked the original and he hopes to do Edmonds proud while also updating it for the TikTik generation. Or words to that effect.

He was on radio 2 this morning. Even showed the new boxes.

Someone has also kindly uploaded a clip of Stephen talking to ITV News taken on set so you get a good idea, although I'm pretty sure an offer after 7 boxes is wrong! (from memory at the recording it is the standard 5 box > 3 box etc although there is a new extra offer chucked in at 3 box)

Just saw that report on ITV1+1. Snippet of the titles there - I notice that the theme tune doesn't seem to have changed at all.

Aren’t they doing all this promotion a week early, considering it doesn’t start till Monday 20th?

"In the future" for sure, but highly unlikely in the short term.  Tipping Point is basically what killed off Deal in the first place and as far as I'm aware has remained pretty stable ever since.

What we may see is less new episodes commissioned - it already looks like more repeats are being shown than usual during the autumn run of all the ITV daytime quiz shows due to the advertising downturn, which effectively sees the new episodes commissioned to air over a year probably airing over around 18 months instead.    Deal or No Deal and the other new formats are probably plugging those gaps a bit to allow them to air new content and hold back new episodes of the main franchises.

RE: Deal Or No Deal - Jon - 10-11-2023

I think Tipping Point beating DOND is down to several factors. People no doubt started to get bored of DOND and it was no longer part of a strong Channel 4 line up. This version won’t be fighting for the same audience and it may have been off air long enough for renewed interest. I think what counts against it is that it arguably has less repeat value.

Apart from the reduced jackpot, I think this show looks and sounds quite good and a good evolution now we’ve seen it on screen.

A trailer aired as part of Stephen's appearance on The One Show on Friday.

I still don't understand the reason for dropping the maximum prize. It's not as if many people actually won it.

£100,000 wouldn't even buy you a bedsit in Jaywick. Dodgy
