If it’s a success as it is, they won’t needlessly push the budgets up.

Noel managed to sell the £250,000 as if it was the same as winning Million pounds and I’m sure he’d have done the same if £100,000 was the max. So in that regard I’m not sure it matters what the top prize is.

You're still far more likely to go away with anything below the top five anyway, unless you're like really jammy and end up in a situation where you have the £100k and the £75k still in place. And how often does that happen?

Yeah, 100k and 250k being the last two boxes was definitely a rarity.

Think it only happened once in live play, and I think the player dealt at £170k.

A problem with the new board though is £75k and £100k are so close to each other if both remained the deal would never be worth it unless over £90k.

Indeed losing the £100k within the first few rounds of the game now has less impact if the £75k is still there than losing £250k did.

That was the second dream finish in live play, Suzanne was first (and the only £250k winner via a swap of the box!)

There were also only ever 2 'scream' finishes (1p/£250k) in live play too from memory, Corinne and Alice (although Alice went back into live play via the Banker's Gamble)

Following on from Gary Baldy's comment, I would add that some of the offers do seem to have been a little 'off' to me.

I've noticed a few occasions where the offer given is well in excess of the average, which, given the whole premise of the game is 'the banker wants to buy your box for as little as possible', seems wrong, and never happened in the original 'Noel' series.

Forgive me for not remembering the exact figures here but the other day, there was a lower amount and the £75k left and the offer was a whisker off being £40k.

I think they could do with tweaking that a bit if the series gets renewed.

Yes - Friday got to £750, £10k and £75k in play and an offer of just over £24k, which may somewhat reflect the average but didn't reflect the risk of knocking out £75k next. With the two reds left the out of play offer was then more than the average when previously it would have been pitched lower to give more of a dilemma, usually so you'd stand to win more money than you risk losing.
