The Christmas lights are up now on the bbc!

A whole month of these idents is going to get dull very quickly, especially if there are only 4 variants IMHO.

The BBC One idents are lovely but I still prefer it when they have their own story rather than being connected to a programme. Maybe we could revisit 2017 one day?

They look really nice, there's a simplicity to them but not a bad kind of simple. I am happy that BBC One wasn't afraid to go off model of their normal idents to have something special for the season. From an ident point of view , I think the christmas Pudding one does make it hard for identification purposes unless you are paying attention, but the trade off would be you'd see them enough over the coming weeks to know it's BBC One.

These idents are beautiful, both animation and soundtrack. They’re different from what we’ve seen before and are very calming, something that we need around the Christmas period.
As for getting bored, I doubt I will, I’ve had the below video (that the BBC have posted) playing for a while; the walking with reflection soundtrack is so relaxing.

They’re beautiful pieces of animation but they don’t particularly make great idents imo. I much preferred last years Shaun the sheep set where there was at least a more of a concept. They looked like idents. These just feel like random scenes pulled from a film with the bbc one logo slapped over the top.

No Christmas on BBC1 trail, just over promotion of iPlayer and Happy Valley. Inconsistent end boards - some with the snow effect, others not.
Either do it properly or don't bother!

They're black normally.
If you notice any sort of change, you should get it checked out.

Looks like there's a horseless version of the river ident, which was used into the News Channel overnight:

Ghostbusters on BBC1 Boxing Day with Ghostbusters 2 the day after, apparently. Never thought I'd see the day. Finally some proper films.
