The film it's all hanging off is has passed me by, it doesn't feel like a big blockbuster centrepiece of the festive schedule in the way that the programmes/films associated with previous character Christmas idents have.

I think they work as standalone, personally. Given the abstract nature of some of the idents we get nowadays, they feel lovely and - more to the point - Christmassy by themselves. More I listen to them, more I really like the soundtrack to them. Beautifully composed - the night one especially.

Great idents but can't help but agree the white text on a white background does not work too well.

I may be being thick, but I have no idea what that thing on the ground is supposed to be. Some kind of half-dead pheasant spitting Maltesers?

[Edit: I guess it must be the mole. Not sure why it’s brown.]

Moles aren’t brown?
They're black normally.

Beautiful music. I like this a lot.

As an American, I have to say that these Christmas idents are beautiful. I like them just as much as the Shaun The Sheep idents from last year.

I understand why some of you are worried about not being able to see the word 'ONE' on the first ident. There's still enough of a shadow for you to see the word.

I believe in America, presentation like what we do here in Britain at Christmas time is not done there?

British television is a bit more elaborate when it comes to Christmas presentation. American broadcasters will change their OSP and promo looks for a more wintery/festive themed feel
