If you have a spare 80 minutes, a behind the scenes look at TF1 and LCI news output from March. What I didn't realise is TF1's main bulletin studio and LCI are in the same building.

Just as an extra anecdote, the current LCI studio has been in the same location for at least 25 or so years! The folks at Lenodal no doubt have explained this better than I will but the rédaction which used to be in the backdrop is still just next to the studio.

RE: French TV - News Discussion - London Lite - 21-08-2023

One bit of normality returned to Franceinfo TV and radio today. The 8.30 interview finished at 0858 rather than at 0850 just before the news headlines.

Still using holiday cover presenters though until next Monday.

Télé-Loisirs has an exclusive look at franceinfo's new lineup:
- la matinale with Jean-Baptiste Marteau and Zohra Ben Miloud (from August 28th)
- 8h30, Axel de Tarlé with l'info s'eclaire and then Marianne Théoleyre (from Sep 4th) just like last season
- 12/13 with Emilie Tran Nguyen (from Sep 4th)
- 14h/17h with Martin Baumer and Flore Maréchal (from Sep 4th)
- 17h/19h with Patricia Loison
- 19h/20h with Sonia Chironi
- 20h with a change of co-host for les Informés, now presented by Bérengère Bonte alongside Jean-François Achilli
- 21h/23h with Lucie Chaumette
- 23h/minuit with Alexandra Uzan

On weekends:
- la matinale week-end (Fridays through Sunday) with Djamel Mazi, news bulletins with Fanny Conquy (from Sep 1st)
- 12/13 (Saturdays and Sunday) and 19/20 week-end (Fridays through Sunday) with Julien Benedetto (from Sep 8th)

Brunet, Broussouloux & Cie started off a week before the rentree! 3rd season for the show which dominates the 22h/00h slot, this whilst pretty much all of Lenodal was convinced that Brunet was going to crash the slot when he took over (same here).

Will be nice to have Julien Benedetto back in a regular slot

RE: French TV - News Discussion - London Lite - 22-08-2023

I wonder what's happening to Camille Grenu? She's been presenting weekend mornings since last year. Presumably she's getting one of the weekend long news shifts during the day? However it's a demotion.

Camille's former co-presenter who suddenly stopped working with her Gaël Giordana isn't mentioned either.

It's interesting to see that afternoons will now be duo-led rather than Martin and Flore alternating as they did last year.

RE: French TV - News Discussion - matthieu1221 - 24-08-2023

As expected, LCI benefited Prigozhin's sky dive yesterday with them being 2nd behind BFMTV with 2.6% of viewers overall (usually happens during weekends when CNEWS viewers switch off their TVs). Brunet's show naturally dominating at 4.3% of audience share (a record since 2 Feb 2022). BFMTV hasn't communicated their audiences yet which is rather unusual at this time of the day.

BFMTV instead of running Le journal de la nuit looped the last half hour of their coverage of the Prigozhin plane crash. The overnight presenter was part of the coverage.

"sky dive" gave me a good chuckle I must say
