Franceinfo's 12/13 info was much improved today. The debut show had former French presidential candidate Ségolène Royal as a guest alongside political commentators which made me think it was just going to be Midi politique with a new name.

However, it had actual news on it, guests who were booked because of an actual news story and a culture interview with an author from the sofa area, alongside two ways with journalists and an explaniner on the return of the heatwave.

Does anyone know why Premiere Edition on BFM TV hasn't moved to the new studio like the other programmes?

That was always the plan, a different studio for that show and everything else in the new set.

Le Monde de Belliard (17h/19h Fridays through Sunday) on franceinfo is nowhere to be seen. Replaced today (Friday) by a 17/19 politique hosted by Christophe Gascard using the same graphics template as Le Monde de Loison. Gascard implicitly states how the political part will only be on Fridays, so maybe a more generic slot on Saturdays and Sundays.

The weekend news magazine shows have also moved to France 2's new studio with a new graphics package. The 13h15 magazine has also apparently been given a graphics refresh.

Yes, 13h15 now has the day as part of the branding. No change to the music.

BFMTV is live in Morocco from 11pm with Ronald Guintrange. Grand reporter Igor Sahiri who was there on holiday has been covering the story the whole day alongside Clémence Dibout who was flown in it seems. Charlotte Baechler from BFM Alsace was also there on holiday and went on air on the local channel earlier today.

Earlier this morning, Les Matins LCI WE was almost entirely in breaking news mode covering the story which is very rare for the show.

On the return of C l'hebdo on France 5, Aurélie Casse pre-recorded a link on Saturday about the earthquake in Morocco before starting the main show which featured Laurent Ruquier as a guest to talk about his new show on BFMTV.

I don't think it was coincidental that they got in a new BFMTV presenter to talk to an ex BFMTV presenter about the changes at the channel.

The entire sequence is quite amusing as Ruquier tries to do a 'Priorite au Direct' that BFMTV is failed for and Fogiel seems to look on anxiously the entire time Big Grin . The mic Aurelie Casse 'stole' would've been useful in Morocco as Ronald Guintrange was sharing his mic with a guest when they had 2 guests.

Solenn Riou was in Morocco from yesterday with residents. It helps greatly that the country is francophone with this very in depth coverage. LCI took a break from Ukraine coverage until the evening when they reverted back to a mix with Ukraine covered too.

On Monday, BFM Var's V2 will be launched at 5pm. Until now, BFM Var's programs had been produced from Marseille with the same presenters as BFM Marseille. Yentl Criado will be presenting Bonsoir Le Var from 5pm to 7pm though it will be a prerecord at first and BFM Normandie's Jasmine Bousquet will present the 12.30/17 which will be filmed outside. Like the other local channels, there'll be a political interview show every 2nd Thursday of the month at 6:30pm. The channel's staffing has been doubled with the opening of 6 new positions.
