New Cityscape ident featuring a rollercoaster on ITV1 before I'm A Celeb Coming Out.

So random! Looks more like a summer ident, so what does ITV do? Launch it near Christmas of course

The Santa one feels low effort, but I quite like the other two Xmas variations so far - they feel different to any other Xmas presentation I've seen before, at least. Agree that mixing it with normal pres is an interesting choice, but maybe they'll gradually pull the normal idents out the closer we get to December 25th?

Also like the rollercoaster cityscape ident - probably the strongest 1 ident we've seen, which begs the question why it took so long to appear?

I'm not one to be needlessly negative where I can help it, and I tend to try and look for positives and up-sides where others are finding faults as a point of balance, but I must say, I personally feel rather disappointed by the idents we've seen on ITV, both in terms of their execution - the 'Santa looking at a map' one is utterly dull and serves as a good example, and in terms of their suitability - completely out of season ones, like a rollercoaster on a bright summer's day being used on a pitch black night in November, and ones which miss the tone completely, like those young girls dancing around while waiting for a train which would be great into Love Island but is being used into standard ITV Daytime programming during the day and early morning. I was a huge fan of the versatility and variety in the 2013 package - an ident for every time of day and type of programming and with the consistent 'colour picking' logo style, it all felt very polished and visually appealing. This all just feels a world away from that in every respect for my money.

I have a feeling they won’t last long… even my family who aren’t into presentation at all have said how rubbish they are, and that’s just the general public so to speak. Not heard many positive things about this rebrand if I’m honest.

I’m sure I saw one ident which was the cityscape but had a Christmas tree shape in the windows of the tall building but only seen it once ?!

Go back a whole one page...

I like the Christmas interpretation of Cityscape. I’m not fond of the Santa in a field. The Christmas tree train Ident is lovely and true to life.

It’s a shame that they couldn’t have chosen a couple of different locations to carry on the idents for all channels. I’m treading on the line of fantasy, but… A town centre around a Christmas tree could have been used for Christmas markets, a Christmas night out, a band/choir, a sponsored Christmas event and shoppers to suit each of the channels and add something festive to every channel rather than just 1.
